Purchase and apply
The August 27 gear report places Gear Shop in the central market. Buy the selected item, then apply it. A gem starts its timer; a coating targets one ore. Each item is consumed.

Before removal
Ore Cleanser removes one ore’s mutation; it does not apply a replacement.
Choose the intended ore and inspect the current effect before committing the removal. If you want a replacement, budget that separate item too; do not treat an empty mutation slot as the new effect. This page does not invent a dedicated removal key.
